Knitting Glass | Carol Milne

Instead of knitting sweaters Seatle-based artist Carol Milne uses her needles to create glass knitted sculptors out of lead crystal. Since she invented her unique technique in 2006 her art has been exhibited worldwide. The complex and lengthy creation process involves knitting, lost-wax casting, mold-making and kiln-casting.

If you want to try a glass knitting project find out about the technique in this video or in her book.

See more of her art pieces on her website. Some are for sale as well.
